Awesome... Wow!?
Does the side car lean when you lean or is the sidecar rigid like most side cars ? Most side cars when you turn left lift the sidecar up and right turn you have to turn right . hard at best and you to relearn to drive it . I have only seen once a British bike that had the side wheel leaned in unison with the front tire , better control at high speed .
The sidecar is rigidly mounted....
Like very much
New digs Art.?...
Hi Zig, yes, a very large spread deep in the woods. I'll be moving there soon. Lots of planning, hopefully I'll get it all done before the snow starts. How's things in Australia? I get news from there and enjoy hearing what the newscasters say about America. Is Holden still making el Camino style pickups? Small pickups are not available here anymore. Good to hear from you! Arthur
I am sorry to say that the structure is not as strong as one requires. Basically there are three in line hinges and the only non "hinged" joint is the front lower p art and I cannot imagine that that horizontal threaded rod will hold a load at the other three basically hinged joints. .
The structure is nowhere near enough to handle the mass of a rotating full size car wheel! Are you guys trying to kill someone, assholes?
I like the extra Mounts i've seen other guys make complete cages on the bottom of their bikes that look like crap also like the idea of the five gallon right on man
Graat motorcycle, as well as the great Sidecar, thank you for sharing
Was it hard to handle with the wide tire?
I didn't notice a big difference over the original frame/suspension. But it was much heavier. Wider handlebars are recommended...
But the ride for the passenger was much better than stock.
Im guessing you take the steering rack off right?? youre not showing that....hmmm
Looks cute, lets SEE it..... Dont show anything
G'day Art.
Well hello Zig! It's been a long time! I've moved around quite a bit, from the northeast to now the midwest. I haven't had a garage or project car for awhile. But I'm in new "digs", that has a big garage. I have been buying and selling older motorcycles, keeping me busy. I see Australia has had political trouble and weather issues. I guess stable conditions are very rare now, compared to the 15 years or so since we've met. Take care, Zig. Art
Nice job dude
Seems nice and quiet Art but where are you going to keep the Motorcycle.?..😀
I have a shed at the old house that can be moved there. It's going to be costly!
Kinda cool, thanks for sharing.
Hi I'm actually the owner of pachuco now Amazing car she still looks good but she needs to new paint job It's amazing seeing the car the way she used to look
Don't know if you'll see this but I'm the current owner of pachuco She is a rocket man do you know the build on the motor? If it has cams I'm getting ready to do a full build restoration on it
Wow, I was wondering what ever happened to Pachuco '81! The engine is a stock 500 cubic inch, low compression smog era motor that replaced the 362 it came with.. Earlier heads , 10:00 to one compression, cam with a .550 to .600 lift and headers will make it come alive. It may still have the 2.20 rear gears. Maybe the guy I sold it to did some mods on the engine. It was real slow when I had it, as I focused on the chopped top and paint. Could you email me some photos? lark@tampabay.rr.com Thanks!
@@planefloat She aint slow anymore She got balls from hell lol It's an amazing car I love it so much im 17 and I worked my way up to get this car Been dreaming about it since the 1st time I saw it lol
Bonjour à tous j'ai la même moto où peut on trouver ce matériel pour attelé merci
Hi Joel, would you please translate your comment? Thanks
Excellent video, you should of been a professor, you speak perfectly, not to fast and not to slow. I have a Kawaskai 1700 and starting to build my sidecar, did you buy the brackets or did the welder fabricate them and where did you get your tire from, beautiful, you are a great help, Thank you, Robert
Hi Dr.Sarhan, the sidecar was originally an Inder product from India. I had it mounted to a Kawasaki XS650. The wheel, suspension, and frame were very light duty, suitable for a smaller bike. I fabricated the new frame myself, with advice from a professional racecar builder for the suspension mounting. The mounting struts were reused from the Inder frame. They were mounted in a triangular layout for strength. The axle spindle and wheel are replacement trailer parts. The spring/shock assembly came from a medium size motorcycle. Doctor, I built this almost ten years ago, not knowing there would be so much interest in my project. I would have kept notes on parts, measurements, and suppliers. It did ride well with a 260 pound passenger. If I had another sidecar body, I would build another with improvements on the frame design and appearance. I was a lot of fun! PS I left you a note on one of your videos. Art
Looks very heavy
No , it seems that there a lot of Bielski around !
just trying to help !
Are you any relation to the Bielski family in Medford, Mass.?
Need a brake on the the sidecar , it a. lot of weight to stop that setup ! I know I have no brake on the sidecar, in a emermercy ,it lock up the rear wheel !
Excellent suggestion! Unfortunately I sold the sidecar some years ago. Wish I had it back......
thank yuo for your video
Mau tanya om.... sambungan untuk kerangka motornya namanya baut apa ya yg panjang itu ??????
Hope i'm wrong, but the mounting brackets are not safe. That frame will colapse on te first fast left hand bend..
Thanks for your concern. No flexing with the side car frame after completion. I regularly carried a 250 pound passenger.. I sold the side car to a gentleman who mounted it on a Harley FL touring bike. If it was going to break, that would have done it. Never happened.....
Si può omologare sidecar fai da te e poi staccare dalla moto quando vuoi
Va bene per il ghiaccio carenandolo ci puoi fare il wc con sedile sparco tutte le stagioni
Thank you
Sick
Can this be done for an Honda Activa sccoter also. At what cost. I need to build a BBQ on the platform to take it to any location.
Where did you find this kit? I have the same bike I want to convert to jockey shift
Hi Shane, it wasn't a kit; the adapter for changing the clutch cable to a foot pedal was the only part I didn't make up. I've lost track of where I bought it, I tried an online search a few years ago to help someone else. Maybe today it's available again....
very nice..
I wanted a recluse clutch for my sporty but 1200 bucks is just way too much for a clutch and i have to press out my old basket and then cook the new one at 350 to put in my basket , ya to much money to much work , so i did duel clutch , i have my lever on bars that still works as well as my foot clutch so first gear is easy and in an emergency stop i still can drop both feet in any gear and just use my regular clutch . Love my suicide shifter , it just makes it more fun ...
Sounds like a good plan. It was a challenge getting "muscle memory", after decades of shifting with my toe, then changing to a hand shifter/foot clutch. .....
@@planefloatdidnt take me to long to get used to it but every once and a while i go to shift up with my toe an laugh becuase its not a shifter and dont lift up no more . 40 years of riding foot shift hand clutch is hard to break ...
Very American, pleaae no hate it is not a political statement it is the American philosophy. Looks great not my style but good job, thanks for posting.
i have a 1959 lark. just like yours and i want to do this same style front end swap. im going to put a ls engine in it. any tips? thanks for making these video's.
There was room under the hood for everything! I'd recommend using the hydro- boost power brake system for safety and engine clearance. The alignment shop had no trouble with the Mustang ll suspension. That LS will give it scary power, much easier than the sbc I used back then. The whole build was very satisfying. My biggest regret was selling the car.
@@planefloat yeah i was wondering if you sold it or not. i do have a 52 Studebaker truck that has been chopped. it has no frame but its not rusted out as its in AZ i have a 1984 s10 truck that im going to use as the frame for it. if your interested. i got a ford ranger front frames that is very similar to the ford mustang 2 one. so im going to try to make it work.

ficou muito bom
Wow Loved it!😘 But don't you feel the arm rest is too close to the bare tyre?! 😢
Where are parts 1-9? Awful video has the shakes. Dont know if thats a stude engine, cant see it and dont sound like it
Parts 1-9 should be on UA-cam, unless they removed them. It's a 350 Chevy. Awful video? No comment.
Is that available in the shop (only the side cart) for any motorcycle (like for Palsur 200 NS), if so good
I like this video.
Very nice. What are the adjustable struts called?
Is that giant bottle of Miller in the block of ice still available?
Hi Jim, I still have the sign. It's in my new workshop. I'm not really interested in selling it......
@@planefloat copy that!
Nice job dude!!
Hey how are you? I have a few that needs to be fixed and I was just wondering what a 2006 47 x 23” Budweiser. bow tie might be worth. I’d appreciate it.
Could you post a picture of it somehow? Old neon is very valuable.....
planefloat it’s my profile pic now . Only way I can see to do it. I don’t know if you could see it good enough.
planefloat I was wondering how much of a difference it would make that it’s 4 feet wide? The smaller ones were cheaper but only saw one that size and it was like $1400
From a custom place .
I would ask $500 - $700. That's a beautiful sign. At the $1400 level, I would expect more uniqueness, possibly celebrating a national event, for example, a World Series with the year on it.
